GTR Accomodations at Savannah Lakes
Here is all of the information you will need about how to make your GTR 2010 hotel reservations.
Please do not make your reservations until your registration in the rally is confirmed. We will let you know via e-mail what your registration status is and then you will be able to call Savannah Lakes and make your reservations. If you are not on the list we give to Savannah Lakes, you will not be able to make a reservation.

Savannah Lakes has 80 rooms, all of which face Lake Thurmond. Each room has a queen bed, a couch (which can pull out to a bed for the kids), a bathroom, refrigerator (keep your beer cold!) and microwave.
The rooms cost $85 night, which includes a nice continental breakfast. Such a deal! We should be able to get about 160 people in the hotel rooms.

In addition to the hotel rooms, we have booked 13 two-bedroom townhomes which will each hold at least two tandem teams. Each spacious townhome features a two bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, dining area, and washer/dryer. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and there are two twin beds in the second bedroom that can be pushed together. The sofa in the living room pulls out as a bed as well. The townhomes are $175 a night, and that includes your continental breakfast. We know that a lot of you like to travel together and the townhome would be a perfect place for you to stay at GTR 2010. As of January 2, 2010, the townhomes are all spoken for. Thanks to those who signed up for the townhomes in advance.
Campers Rejoice!
We don't camp, but we know some of you do. There are three beautiful state parks within five miles of Savannah Lakes. We will let you decide where to camp, but here are your choices
:
Elijah Clark (GA) State Park: Site of the GTR 2010 Saturday lunch, you can find 20 cottages and 175 campsites here.
Hickory Knob (SC) State Park: There are 18 cabins and 44 campsites at this venue.
Baker Creek (SC) State Park: 100 lakeside campsites, no cabins or cottages.
